Our Tours

Heritage Bikes offers a wide range of cycle touring experiences for every type of rider. Try our short Perth Town Tour or longer Countryside Tours, or create your own Custom experience with our expert team and long time bike guide, Pete Wood. Heritage Bikes is also offering multi-day tours with partner, Freewheeling Adventures for tours in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. We look forward to showing you all that this beautiful area has to offer. 

Perth Town Tour

A wonderful way to get to know Perth, see its attractions and learn about its mystery-filled history. See the sight, get the low-down on the best treats, restaurants and activities. This 5 km, one hour tour with frequent stops is perfect for beginners. Let our expert guides show you around!

Local Countryside Tours

Enjoy the beauty of Lanark on one of our four Countryside Tours.  These tours offer beautiful scenery, delicious local food,  and several points of interest along the way. This is a great way to discover Balderson, Smiths Falls, McDonald's Corners, and Murphy's Point.  Email or call for more information or the book: or (613)200-7959

Bread & Cheese Tour

Approx: 25km to Balderson and Back

Visit a local bakery with massive wood-fired ovens, an Amish furniture store, and spectacular hidden gardens. Extend this tour by riding to the quiet communities of Lanark and Fallbrook or simply laze by the river and swim with the red fins.

Minimum 2 people: $85 per person.

Mills & Mines

Approx: 40km to Murphy's Point PP and back

Known as the Golden Ride, this tour will take you on quiet lanes  via the Bows & Allan Mills, past mica mines and into Murphy’s Point. Explore the humble  McParland homestead and a private swimming hole. Extend this ride to see the Narrows lock station and block house.

Minimum 2 people: $100 per person

Trains & Locks

Apprx: 60 km to Smiths Falls and Back

You will bicycle on quiet country lanes past Port Elmsley and the Beveridge locks then grab a bit and sit by the Big Rideau, then on your way to the Yacht Club Beach and Rideau Ferry. Wind your way to Smiths Falls for the Railway Museum.  Linger by the Rideau canal and watch the boats go up and down through the locks.

Hills & Flowers

Approx: 70 km to McDonald's Corners and back

This adventurous ride with lots of climbs and decent will lead you into the Lanark Highlands.  Visit MERA and its Saturday morning Farmer’s Market, see a mysterious Orchid Garden and a collection of 700 chainsaws. 

Minimum 2 people: $135 per person

Regional Tours with Freewheeling Adventures

Heritage Bikes has been fortunate to have partnered up with long time tour Canadian Provider, Freewheeling Adventures. Our very own Pete Wood has developed a local regional Tour called, Ottawa and the Rideau Canal Tour, and has guided all the many tours offered in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. 

Ottawa and Rideau Canal Tour

Six nights; seven days of peaceful cycling through Canada’s scenic historic and political centre, with stretches along the Rideau Canal and Ottawa’s bike paths.

Montreal to Ottawa - Laurentians Tour

Five nights; six days of easy cycling between Montreal and Ottawa on paved bike paths including Le P’tit Train du Nord, and quiet country roads.
