We only hire those with previous activity planning experience for our programming staff. Heritage Bikes owner Pete Wood and Sales Manager Bridgette Mosher will be supervising throughout the entire program. They both have loads of experience in activity planning. Pete was a primary school teacher for many years and taught P.E as well as Art. Bridgette and Pete have been working as snowboard instructors at Mount Pakenham for many years. This is where they met our fun and fabulous counsellors Kaella McKraken and Gillian Szijarto.

Gillian: Hi I’m Gillian, I’m going to be working as a counselor for Heritage Bikes’ summer camp!  I love working with kids and I have lots of experience with them; I worked at Mt. Pakenham for three years, teaching kids how to ski and have fun on the hill, I’m currently in the middle of my Bronze Medallion course which unfortunately got cut off due to Covid.  I love getting outdoors and doing just about anything active, biking, canoeing, hiking, and everything in between.  I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone at camp and sharing my love of the outdoors with all the kids!

Kaella has worked as Snowboard Instructor, planning and delivering lessons to children ages 3-12,  have their Red Cross Babysitting Course.

All Counsellors participate in a 3 day Intensive Bike Camp Training with Pete and Bridgette.
